Bardeen connects LinkedIn, OpenAI, Snov.io, and Gmail to automate the process of crafting personalized outreach messages. With this workflow, you can use OpenAI to generate a personalized message based on the information from a LinkedIn profile. This is particularly useful in recruitment, data sourcing, sales prospecting, and improving personal productivity. By automating this process, you can significantly save time and increase the efficiency of your outreach efforts.
Here is how this workflow works:
- Scrape LinkedIn Profile: Using the Scraper, we visit the currently opened LinkedIn profile to extract information such as name, job title, and company. The scraper has been configured to use the LinkedIn profile template by Bardeen.
- Merge Text: This command is used to merge the outreach prompt (which you will need to specify) with the phrase "Personalized for:", to create a customized outreach message.
- Create OpenAI Composed Email: The merged text from the previous step is then fed into OpenAI. OpenAI uses this text to generate a personalized email message for the recipient, which is obtained from the scraped LinkedIn data.
- Generate Essay from Prompt: OpenAI is used again to generate an essay from the composed email. This creates a more detailed and engaging outreach message.
- Find Email from LinkedIn: Using Snov.io, we find the email address associated with the LinkedIn profile. This email address will be used as the recipient for the outreach message.
- Create Draft Email: Finally, Bardeen creates a draft email in Gmail using the email address obtained from Snov.io and the personalized message crafted by OpenAI.

Step 1: Pin the playbook and integrate Gmail
First, click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to save this automation. You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Gmail.
Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on a Windows machine on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start. Bardeen will ask you to specify an outreach prompt to create an email draft in Gmail.
Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Gmail. This will save you time from setup in the future. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.
Step 2: Run the playbook
To create an email draft for the currently opened LinkedIn profile in Gmail, press Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on a Windows machine on your keyboard to launch Bardeen. Click on the playbook card and enter your outreach prompt.
It will get information from the LinkedIn profile page and use your outreach prompt to generate an email draft inside of Gmail.
