If you need to save specific Instagram profile data for reporting or analysis, doing it manually is always time-consuming.

This playbook will automate the process. It will copy any Instagram profile into an Airtable database with information like name, profile link, biography, follower count, following count, and number of posts. You can quickly create a shareable resource for clients to stay up to date on accounts and posts. Let’s set it up!

Step 1: Create an Airtable database

The first step is creating an Airtable database with the fields you want to save.

When you run the playbook for a profile, Bardeen will extract information from the profile and get information like name, profile link, biography, follower count, following count, and number of posts.

Step 2: Install the extension and map the data to Airtable

You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Airtable.

‍

Click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to get this automation saved to your Playbooks.

‍

Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start.

You will be asked to specify the Airtable that will contain the information. After you choose the database, you will get a prompt to map the information to the fields in Airtable.

The left side consists of all the fields Bardeen will scrape for you. On the right side, specify the fields in Airtable that you want to associate with the information on the left. If you don’t want a piece of information, leave that field empty, and it will be skipped. That’s it!

Turn on the toggle to turn on this Autobook.

Step 3: Right click on the Instagram profile page to save it to Airtable

Click on the playbook card, to setup the playbook.

1. You'll need to pick an Airtable where you want to save the Instagram profile data
2. Navigate to the Instagram profile and right click to see the Bardeen shortcut
3. Click on Save Instagram profile to Airtable to save this automation to Airtable

You can personalized the name of this shortcut as you like.

Then it will save any Instagram profile data into your Airtable database with a right click.
