Whether sharing important content, funny memes or valuable resources with your team, copying and pasting URLs is an inevitable part of communicating in Slack.
This automation will eliminate copying and pasting and send the currently opened tab directly to Slack with a shortcut. It allows you to quickly send the URL of your current page to a Slack user or Channel. You can also add a custom message before the link.
This automation will help you coordinate your plans, stay organized and streamline your communication.
First, click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to save this automation. You will be redirected to download the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Slack if you haven’t done so already.
Press Option + B on your keyboard to launch Bardeen. Click on the playbook card and enter a Slack channel/use and the message you want to include before the link. Run the playbook whenever you want to send your current page’s URL. The playbook will find the URL, add your message before it and send it to the specified user or channel.
You can also edit the playbook and add your following action to customize the automation further. For example, you can save and link to a Notion database or swap out Slack and send the link in an email instead.
