How does this automation work?

Bardeen's playbook leverages the power of OpenAI to turn social media interactions into actionable tasks within Jira. This workflow is particularly useful for customer support and product teams who want to track issues or feature requests mentioned on Twitter. By automating the creation of Jira issues from tweets, teams can ensure they capture valuable user feedback and prioritize it accordingly.

Here's how this workflow creates a Jira issue from a tweet:

  • Step 1: Scrape from Twitter - The Scraper tool is used to extract the content of a tweet from the currently active tab in your browser, utilizing the specialized Twitter tweet scraper template.
  • Step 2: Create Jira issue title - Bardeen then merges the text scraped from the tweet to form the title of the Jira issue.
  • Step 3: Prepare Jira issue description - The description for the Jira issue is generated, using OpenAI to ensure it is concise and to the point.
  • Step 4: Generate text with OpenAI - OpenAI is used to create a custom prompt that will help in drafting a detailed issue description.
  • Step 5: Summarize text with OpenAI - OpenAI provides a summary of the tweet content, tailored for business relevance, to be included in the Jira issue.
  • Step 6: Create Jira issue - The final step is the creation of a new Jira issue with the title and description prepared from the tweet's data.

How to run the workflow

If you need to save specific tweets for reporting or analysis, doing it manually is always time-consuming. This is where web scraping can help automate the process.

With this automation, you can extract data from tweets automatically, freeing up your time to focus on more critical tasks. It will retrieve the currently opened tweet and its thread text, analyze the issue using OpenAI, and generate a HubSpot ticket with all the relevant information, including the issue's title, summary, and a link to the tweet. This will save you time that would otherwise be spent capturing the relevant information manually and prevent the need for tedious copying and pasting.

Let’s set it up!

Run the playbook for a tweet that you want to create a ticket for.

It will analyze the text using OpenAI, generate a suitable ticket headline and summary and create the support ticket with all the information.
