How to run the workflow

Transferring data between different platforms can be a real hassle, especially when you want to work with information in Excel that's stored in Notion. That's where our Playbook automation comes in handy! This tool efficiently copies your Notion database straight into a Microsoft Excel workbook, allowing you to seamlessly move data across platforms.

No need to deal with the pain of manual data migration or worry about potential errors in the process. This automation does the heavy lifting for you, saving you time and effort while ensuring your data remains organized and up-to-date.

Let's talk about some practical uses. Whether you're a project manager wanting to analyze tasks in Excel or an analyst seeking to visualize data in different ways, this Playbook streamlines the process. It bridges the gap between Notion and Excel, making it easy for you to access and manipulate your data however you prefer. Let the automation handle the details while you focus on what really matters!

Let’s set it up!

Step 1: Create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet

The first step is to create a Microsoft Excel Workbook for the Notion database to be saved into.

Step 2: Pin the playbook and integrate Microsoft Excel

First, click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to save this automation. You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Microsoft Excel.

Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on a Windows machine on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start. Bardeen will ask you to specify the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to save all the information.

Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Microsoft Excel. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.

Step 3: Run the automation to copy a Notion database to a Microsoft Excel

Go to the Notion database that you want to copy, open Bardeen, and click on the Playbook card.

Bardeen will ask for the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to save the information to. Then the playbook will copy your chosen Notion database into your Microsoft Excel Workbook.
