How to run the workflow

Bardeen is not designed for paywall removal, but rather for powerful workflow automations such as syncing data between your apps like Google Sheets, Notion, and ClickUp. Additionally, Bardeen empowers you to incorporate AI into your workflow without coding through integrations like OpenAI.

You need to install the extension and create a free account to use Bardeen.

This automation will bypass a paywall by finding a copy of the web page in web archives. Click on the automation card to open the full article in a new tab.

Because media companies rely heavily on organic traffic, they open all content to search engines. This means that a regular user will land on a page with a hard paywall, whereas crawlers will get full access to the article so that it can be indexed.

This automation leverages this mechanic so that you can bypass paywalls effortlessly.

To make the playbook work, click on the “try it” button above. You will be redirected to download the browser extension, if you don’t have it installed yet.

Then press Option + B on your keyboard to launch Bardeen, and click on the playbook card. It will find the archive of the page and open it in a new tab.
