How does this automation work?

Streamlining the process of gathering and organizing company information can be a significant time-saver for sales professionals. Bardeen's playbook leverages the power of Apollo.io to automatically enrich company data from any website you visit and then seamlessly saves this valuable information into Airtable for easy access and organization. Automating this process saves hours of manual work and helps ensure that your sales team has the data they need to make informed decisions quickly.

Here's how this workflow enriches company information and stores it in Airtable:

  • Step 1: Capture Website URL - Bardeen begins by obtaining the URL of the currently open page, which will be used to identify the company's domain for enrichment.
  • Step 2: Enrich Company Info with Apollo.io - Using the domain obtained from the URL, Bardeen utilizes Apollo.io to gather detailed organization information, such as company size, industry, and contact data.
  • Step 3: Save to Airtable - The enriched company information is then added to a specified Airtable base, creating a record that can be used for sales prospecting or to keep your CRM updated with the latest information.

How to run the workflow

Managing your company's data shouldn't feel like juggling flaming torches. Ever wished your company could effortlessly tap into a goldmine of business leads without the headache of manual data mining?

Picture this: a seamless playbook that effortlessly scours the depths of a website using Apollo.io, extracting nuggets of potential, and then neatly stashing them into an Airtable for your convenience. No more wrestling with tedious data entry or drowning in a sea of missed opportunities.

From streamlining lead generation to ensuring no potential client slips through the cracks, this playbook becomes your silent partner in business growth. Say goodbye to the pains of manual enrichment; let automation pave the way to a more efficient and lucrative future.

Let’s set it up!

Step 1: Create an Airtable

The first step is to create an Airtable with the information that you want to get from a company’s website.

Bardeen will extract information from the currently opened company website and get information like funding information, technology used, number of employees, address and phone information, social profile and much more, using Apollo.io.

Step 2: Install the extension and map the information to Airtable

You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Airtable and Apollo.io.

To integrate Apollo.io, you will need to find and enter your API key.

If you are unsure how to do this, click here to follow Apollo’s guide.

Click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to get this automation saved to your Playbooks.

Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start.

You will be asked to specify an Airtable to save the information. After you choose the database, you will get a prompt to map the information to the fields in Airtable.

The left side consists of all the fields Bardeen will scrape for you. On the right side, specify the fields in Airtable that you want to associate with the information on the left. If you don’t want a piece of information, leave that field empty, and it will be skipped. That’s it!

Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Airtable. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.

Step 3: Run the playbook to enrich company information from a website to Airtable with Apollo

Navigate to a company’s website.

Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and run this playbook. Bardeen will use Apollo.io to enrich the company and save more than 25 data points to your Airtable.
