How does this automation work?
Bardeen streamlines your workflow by generating screenshots of webpages, uploading them to Google Drive, and allowing you to share them via email. Whether you're working remotely and need to share information with your team, or you want to keep a record of a webpage, this automation is a valuable tool for boosting productivity.
Here is how this workflow works:
- Get page as PDF: Bardeen captures a screenshot of the specified webpage and saves it as a PDF. You will need to provide the URL of the page you want to capture.
- Upload to Google Drive: The PDF screenshot is then uploaded to your Google Drive. You can specify the folder where the file will be stored. Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. With Bardeen, you can fully leverage Google Drive's capabilities by automating file management and ensuring your files are always where you need them, when you need them.
How to run the playbook
This playbook will automatically send screenshots of websites via email.
It will upload a screenshot of a specified page to Google Drive and then share the file with a person of your choice.
You can make this playbook run periodically by setting a trigger. This is especially useful if you want to capture information from a dynamic website periodically.
If you want to set the playbook to always capture the current page that you are on, enter the command “Get current page URL.”
If you create reports for clients that don’t have access to your tools, this playbook is perfect for that! Bardeen runs from your browsers, enabling you to share websites that require logins to view information without actually sharing access.

You can tick the “Remember inputs” check box to specify which of your inputs to save.
For example, add a checkmark to “page URL” and “folder” so that the playbook always runs for the same page URL and saves the images in the same folder. Or you can add a checkmark to “emails” to always send the screenshot to the same address without requiring additional input in the future.
Let’s set it up!
Step 1: Pin the playbook and integrate Google Drive
First, click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to save this automation. You will be redirected to download the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Google Drive if you haven’t done so already.
Step 2: Run the playbook to streamline Gmail and Google Drive workflow
Whenever you want to take a screenshot of a website, press Option + B on your keyboard to launch Bardeen and run the playbook. It will capture a screenshot of the website, upload the screenshot to Google Drive and send the link to the email that you specified when setting up the playbook.
You can also edit the playbook and add your next action to customize the automation further. For example, you can also send the screenshot to a Slack channel or change the trigger so that it runs at a set interval without needing any action from you.
