How does this automation work?
Bardeen's playbook leverages OpenAI to transform your meeting notes into succinct summaries and actionable tasks, then communicates them directly to your team via Slack. In today's fast-paced business environment, ensuring that meeting outcomes are clearly communicated is essential for maintaining productivity and alignment. This workflow not only saves time by automating the process of summarization but also ensures that no action item gets overlooked by promptly updating your team.
Here's how this workflow generates summaries and action items and sends them to Slack:
- Step 1: Merge meeting notes text - Begin by combining your meeting notes into a single text string that clearly states the purpose: to create a quick summary including action items.
- Step 2: Generate summary with OpenAI - Using OpenAI, the merged text is processed to produce a coherent summary and list of action items, with a specified level of creativity controlled by the temperature setting.
- Step 3: Send Slack message - Finally, the generated summary and action items are sent as a message to a chosen Slack channel or user, ensuring your team stays informed and aligned on next steps.
How to run the playbook
I know that going through meeting notes can be a real drag for most people. But guess what? There's now a super easy way to get a summary of the meeting and a list of action items, thanks to OpenAI's automation. And the best part? You'll receive the summary and action items in a Slack message. No more having to go through pages of notes to make sense of everything!
Here’s how to set it up:
