How does this automation work?
With Bardeen, you can leverage the power of Google Maps and Google Sheets to streamline your data sourcing and research tasks. This playbook automates the process of extracting information from Google Maps search results and saving it directly to a Google Sheets spreadsheet. Whether you're conducting market research or prospecting for new sales leads, this playbook can save you countless hours of manual data entry and allow you to focus on more important tasks.
Here is how this workflow works:
- Scrape Google Maps Search Results: First, Bardeen uses the Scraper command to extract data from the active tab in your browser. In this case, it's configured to scrape a specified number of search results from Google Maps, based on the "Google Maps search results" template developed by Bardeen. You'll need to input the number of results you wish to extract.
- Scrape Data in the Background: Next, Bardeen uses the Scraper command again to extract more detailed information from each individual search result. It does this in the background, using the "Google Maps location card" template. The links to the pages to be scraped are obtained from the previous step.
- Add Data to Google Sheets: Finally, Bardeen uses the Google Sheets integration to add the scraped data to a specified Google Sheets spreadsheet. You'll need to specify the Google Sheet where you want the data to be added. Google Sheets is a powerful tool for organizing and analyzing data, making it the perfect place to store and review the information gathered from Google Maps.
