Learn to post a job on LinkedIn in a few simple steps.

  • Click 'Jobs' on LinkedIn homepage, then 'Post a job'.
  • Fill in job details and add skills.
  • Choose applicant notification options and screening questions.
  • Enter payment details and review your order.
  • Finalize by clicking 'Post job'.
  • For mobile, use the Jobs icon and follow similar steps.

Posting a job on LinkedIn is a straightforward process that can help you reach a large pool of potential candidates. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the Jobs icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Click the Post a job button.
  3. If you're a Recruiter customer, you may be routed to a page with different contract options. If so, click Continue next to your name's LinkedIn Job Posting.
  4. On the Job Details page, fill in the job description and add required skills by typing them into the text box and selecting from the options that appear.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. On the Applicant Options page, select how you'll be notified of applicants and review screening questions. It's recommended to add at least three screening questions to help identify top applicants.
  7. After clicking the Promote job button, enter your credit card details on the checkout page. If you have a payment method on file, it will appear by default. You can add a new payment method if needed.
  8. Review the order details, including your daily budget and total budget, before posting your job.
  9. Click Post job.
1. Click the Jobs icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

2. Click the Post a job button.

For mobile users:

  1. Tap the Jobs icon.
  2. Tap the More icon next to the search bar.
  3. Tap Post a Job from the menu that appears.
  4. Tap the name of the company for which you'd like to post the job.
  5. Tap the job post from the list of previously posted jobs or tap Create new job.
  6. Enter the Job title, Location, Employment type, and Description, then tap Next.
  7. Select who you want to share the post with.
  8. Tap Post.

Remember, jobs must be posted from a profile with your real name, not a company name, and when you add a company to your job posting, it will link to your organization's LinkedIn Page. If you don't have a LinkedIn Page, you'll need to create one. Also, note that if you've purchased job slots through a corporate contract, you'll post jobs via LinkedIn Recruiter or Talent Hub.

For free job postings, the process is similar, but you'll click the Post a free job button instead. Free job posts are active for 21 days and can be promoted or closed before reaching 30 days. Once a free job post reaches 10 applicants, it will no longer be discoverable in search but will remain visible on the company page and via direct links.
