How does this automation work?
Bardeen's workflow automation allows for seamless integration of Google Mail, Dropbox, and Asana to manage emails and attachments efficiently. The ability to save specific labeled emails as tasks in Asana, along with the convenience of storing attachments on Dropbox, ensures that important communications are never missed and that the necessary documents are always at your fingertips. This is particularly helpful for teams in personal productivity and product development sectors, who can now streamline their email management process.
Here's how this workflow saves labeled emails to Asana and uploads attachments to Dropbox:
- Step 1: Find labeled emails - Bardeen finds all emails in your Gmail account that have a specific label applied, according to your preferences.
- Step 2: Upload attachments to Dropbox - Any attachments found in the labeled emails are then securely uploaded to your specified Dropbox folder, creating a link to the file.
- Step 3: Merge email content - The email body and the Dropbox link to attachments are merged into a single text block. This ensures all relevant information is collated together.
- Step 4: Create Asana task - A new task is created in Asana with the subject of the email as the task title, and the merged email body and Dropbox link included in the task description.
