How does this automation work?

Bardeen's playbook for saving company headcount from LinkedIn to Google Sheets is designed for sales prospecting and data sourcing research. It automates the process of extracting headcount information from a list of LinkedIn company profiles and storing it into Google Sheets. This is particularly valuable for market research, competitive analysis, and sales strategy planning, allowing your team to make data-driven decisions without spending hours on manual data entry.

Here's how this workflow simplifies the data extraction process:

  • Step 1: Retrieve data from Google Sheets - Initially, we fetch the content from a specified Google Sheet where your LinkedIn company links are listed.
  • Step 2: Extract LinkedIn links - From the retrieved table, we extract a column containing the LinkedIn company profile links.
  • Step 3: Prepare links for scraping - The links are then formatted correctly to ensure they can be used for scraping.
  • Step 4: Scrape LinkedIn profiles - Using a specialized LinkedIn scraper template, we collect the company headcount and overview information in the background.
  • Step 5: Add data to Google Sheets - The scraped data is then appended to another Google Sheet, thereby updating your spreadsheet with the latest information.
