Bardeen's workflow automation enables businesses to extract valuable data from Google searches and organize it efficiently in Airtable. This process is invaluable for market research, competitor analysis, and SEO strategy development. By automating the data collection process, companies can focus their resources on analysis and strategy rather than on manual data entry.

Here's how you can seamlessly gather search results for a keyword and save them into Airtable:

  • Step 1: Merge Keyword with Search URL - Bardeen begins by constructing the Google search URL for your specified keyword. This step forms the foundation for the subsequent data scraping.
  • Step 2: Scrape Google Search Results - The Scraper then operates in the background to extract search results from the Google search page, using a tailored scraper template to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Step 3: Save Results to Airtable - Finally, the scraped data is organized and saved into your Airtable base. This step transforms raw data into a structured format that's ready for analysis and action.

Let’s set it up!

Step 1: Create an Airtable

The first step is to create an Airtable with the information you want to save.

Bardeen will open your search query based on the keywords that you enter and get information like title, description and link.

Step 2: Install the extension and set up Google data scraper

You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Airtable.

Click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to get this automation saved to your Playbooks.

Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card, and the setup flow will start.

You will be asked to enter your Airtable and specify the maximum number of Google search results you would like to save to your Airtable. After you choose the database and maximum number of results to fetch, you will get a prompt to map the information to the fields in Airtable.

The left side consists of all the fields Bardeen will scrape for you. On the right side, specify the fields in Airtable that you want to associate with the information on the left. If you don’t want a piece of information, leave that field empty, and it will be skipped. That’s it!

Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Airtable and the maximum number of results you want to get. This will save you time from setup in the future. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.
